Quick Vol Au Vents

Something quick and warm for those late, cold winter's nights.

Serves 2-4

Cooking:
10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 x 25g vol au vents
    If you do not have vol au vents use a small cob loaf or another type of bread roll, cut off the top and remove some of the bread to make a bowl.
  • Can of condensed cream of chicken soup, approximately 400g
  • Can of creamed corn, approximately 300g
  • Diced ham or bacon
  • Mixed herbs
  • Seasoned pepper
  • Garlic powder

Method

  1. Place the condensed chicken soup, creamed corn and the ham or bacon in a saucepan.
  2. Stir continually while heating.
  3. Season with the herbs, pepper, and garlic powder.
    To begin, try 1 tsp of mixed herbs, 1 tsp garlic powder, and a couple of pinches of pepper.
  4. Microwave vol au vents for about a minute on high.
  5. Spoon the soup mix into the vol au vents and serve.
